McGill University has 16 different libraries! That’s a lot. McLennan Library is the biggest one: there are 6 floors of books and study space.
There are also many different types of books at McLennan Library because it holds information about humanities and social science. Students found books about fashion, dancing, business, history, culture, politics, law, geography, poetry and more! In fact, there are so many books that it is hard to hold them all. The library has special bookcases that stick together until someone comes looking for a book. If you press the right button, you will see the bookshelves move and open a path for you!
McLennan Library also has special exhibits, with artifacts, old books and new information held in special glass cases.
Luckily, no one was lost among the stacks as groups raced to find interesting books! Each team was given 3 books to find among the endless stacks of books…and 15 minutes to find them! It was a mad dash to map out the library using the iPad and sneak around the studying students. I think the Homework Zoners can now navigate through McLennan as well as any McGill student!
